What is Web Design & Development?

SyvaSoft builds business websites and customer portals that load quickly, navigate cleanly and render consistently across all major browsers. Sites are built to connect to the ERP behind them, so catalogues, customer portals and dashboards read live business data rather than a stale copy. Mobile applications are handled by a separate practice.

Capabilities

What this practice actually does

Specific work, not a list of buzzwords. Each of these is something we have shipped.

Next.js website builds

Server-rendered React sites with a typed component library, an image pipeline and a performance budget enforced in the build, so adding pages does not quietly cost you Core Web Vitals.

Customer and dealer portals

Order status, dispatch tracking, ledger statements and outstanding balances read live from iDempiere or ERPNext over REST, with a separate login per customer or dealer account.

Technical SEO engineering

Semantic headings, JSON-LD for Organisation, Service, Product and FAQPage, XML sitemaps, canonical rules and a redirect map from every old URL before the new site goes live.

Structured content management

An admin built on typed collections — services, products, case studies, FAQs — rather than a free-form page builder, so schema markup stays correct as the marketing team adds content.

Accessibility and browser testing

Keyboard paths, contrast, focus states and screen-reader labels checked against WCAG, then verified across Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge on real phones as well as desktops.

Analytics and Search Console

Analytics, Search Console, conversion events and enquiry form tracking configured and verified at launch, with a short session showing your team where the numbers actually come from.

Why SyvaSoft

What is different about working with us

One source of truth

Product, price and stock data stays in the ERP and the website reads it. Copying a catalogue into a second database is a maintenance debt that comes due within a year.

Written by ERP people

We write about weighbridges, batching plants, GST and stock valuation every working day, so an industrial B2B site does not need a briefing document before it reads correctly.

Search built in, not added later

Keyword and competitor research shapes the information architecture in week one. Structured data and clean markup are also what let AI assistants quote your pages accurately.

A stack you can staff

Next.js, React, TypeScript and PostgreSQL, delivered as source with documentation. Any competent web developer can take it on without a rewrite, including one you hire in-house.

Websites that do a job

We build professional, business-class sites that are quick, accessible and structured for search. That means real performance work rather than a template with a fast theme: image handling, script discipline, semantic markup and structured data.

For a B2B company, the site's job is to be found for the terms buyers actually search and to answer their questions well enough that they get in touch. Everything else is decoration.

Connected to the ERP, not beside it

The most useful business websites read live data: current stock, order status, dispatch tracking, account statements. A customer portal backed by the ERP removes a large share of routine phone calls. A partner portal lets subcontractors submit measurements without anyone re-keying them.

Mobile for people who are not at a desk

Weighbridge operators, site engineers, delivery drivers and collection teams need to capture data where the work happens. Cross-platform apps built for that environment work offline and synchronise when a connection returns, because the alternative — no capture until someone gets back to the office — is how data quality dies.

Built to be maintained

Documented, source delivered, and built on mainstream frameworks rather than something only we understand.

Engagement

How the work runs

  1. 1

    Discovery & information architecture

    1 week

Audience, goals, keyword and competitor research, then a site or app structure built around real search and task intent.

  2. 2

    Design

    1–3 weeks

Wireframes and visual design across breakpoints, with a component library rather than one-off page layouts.

  3. 3

    Build

    3–8 weeks

Front end, CMS or app shell, and ERP integration, with staging available for review throughout.

  4. 4

    Testing

    1 week

Cross-browser and device testing, accessibility checks, performance budgets and offline behaviour where relevant.

  5. 5

    Launch & handover

    2–5 days

Deployment, search console and analytics setup, redirects from any old URLs, training and source handover.

This is a good fit if…

  • Your website does not rank for the terms your buyers actually search
  • Customers phone in for order status that a portal could answer
  • Field teams capture data on paper and someone re-types it later
  • You need one app across Android and iOS without two development budgets

Answers

Web Design & Development — questions we get asked

Do you build websites that connect to our ERP?

Yes, and that is usually the point. Customer portals showing live order and dispatch status, partner portals for subcontractor measurement submission, and dashboards reading directly from the ERP. Duplicating product and pricing data into a separate website database is a maintenance liability we try to avoid.

Will the website be optimised for search?

Yes. Performance work against Core Web Vitals, semantic markup, structured data, sitemaps, metadata and internal linking are part of the build rather than an add-on. Search Console and analytics are configured and verified at launch.

Do your mobile apps work without internet?

Where the use case requires it, yes. Field capture apps store data locally and synchronise when connectivity returns. This matters at quarries, construction sites and collection routes where mobile coverage is unreliable and waiting for signal is not an option.

Do you build for both Android and iOS?

Yes, from a single cross-platform codebase. For enterprise field applications this is almost always the right trade-off — the user base is your own team rather than a consumer market, so platform-specific polish matters less than shipping one maintainable app.

Can our team update the website content ourselves?

Yes. Sites are delivered with an admin built around structured content — products, services, articles, FAQs — rather than a free-form page builder. Structured content is what keeps SEO markup consistent as the site grows.
